If you observe the efforts of a honeybee and accept the same pattern in your life, you will be a winner most of the time. In that case, your efforts will always produce favorable results. People may be surprised to note this aspect, but it is fact. We think that how it is possible that we being the God’s most intelligent species have to learn lessons from the honeybee. Apparently, it looks to be an ineffective proposition, but it is true. In our lives, most of the time, we start thinking in a negative direction before starting any work; we draw the inference of the outcome and mentally choose either negative output or a possibility of a far below the expectation achievement. When any negativity marks the beginning itself, we take it granted that the activity to be performed is a bit tedious or getting a solution of an impending problem will be hard. Here take the instance of a honeybee. It extracts nectar from the flowers, fly across the garden, wings its way and without stopping for a moment, it selects flowers after flowers to complete its expectation. One should not think that the path of the honeybee is easy. It is full of impediments means the honey bee has to struggle a lot before it sucks nectar. But it never thinks for a failure. We have to learn the lessons how it finds its way to the flower, how it sits on the flower, and how bravely and with all courageous attitude, it extracts nectar. Further, after completing the task, how quickly honeybee flies away. Flying directly to the beehive, it deposits its share of honey. To perform this task, the honeybee is entirely devoted to its work. How bee completes the above task? It completely focuses attention on various tasks of sitting on the flowers and extracting nectar. It does not think of any other things.
From this species, if we try, we can learn the important lesson that how to be diligent and be preserving your full energy just not to forget the goals. Honeybee never forgets to extract nectar from the flowers. But we, the human beings, many times are not able to remain steadfast in accomplishing any particular feat for which we set our goal. We start with all enthusiasm, do the jobs with full focus for a couple of months, but when the efforts do not yield proper results, we deviate from focusing, and we start to cite excuses after excuses for the failure of achieving the milestone.
The creator has sent us to earth. And there is a definite purpose, what is that? He wants to strive hard towards the perfection of our social and commercial responsibilities and also to develop the lovable personality. Apart from this, we should also be aware of how the Creator expects us to exhibit an extraordinary spirit in extracting spiritual nourishment from both good and bad experiences. We must remember that unless we fulfill our personal and professional mission, we have to put efforts continuously so that our attention does not get deviated. In short, like a honeybee, we must stay focused. The Creator has sent us to the world with some particular purpose. Each of us is advised by Creator to follow His guidance so that achieving the goals of life becomes easy. The Creator also wants us to accomplish the spiritual goals as far as possible. He never says to disregard other socio-economic responsibilities, but He likes that His children must receive divine blessings and must focus on the ideal activities. So, to accept the will of the Creator, we must remain focused on the spiritual nourishment. We have to agree with the fact that till the time our mission is not over, we should be dedicated to all our activities, if not for the lifelong. Our path in the journey of life is full of thorns and to remove the obstacles sometimes, we may be tempted to take illogical and irrational decisions. The Creator is aware of those constraints, and He creates these unpleasant and chaotic situations deliberately just to taste our patience. During this period, we should be compassionate and not think for any vengeance. In eschewing revenge, we have to eliminate negativity, we must remove unsavory incidents, and we must forgive others and finally rise above the petty vendetta. If you can do this, you can increase your affinity with divine blessings. When we think negativities much, the same will lead us to not so harmonious situations and we will be constrained to forego selfless behavior and attitude. Then, we cannot be compassionate at all. Faith in the Almighty for all our endeavors is critical to eliminate falsehood. We have to be firm to carry out our civic and religious responsibilities, and we must exercise restraint to cross the barriers of all types of provocations. We will be able to do so when we receive continually spiritual sustenance.
Apart from Hindus scriptures, which always teach us about non-violence and non-attachment, the spiritual goal of Islam is to attain a state of peace. The Quran says, “A soul at peace.” As per this statement, a person’s ultimate stage is spiritual development. When he reaches this stage, he qualifies to visit heaven, the perfect and eternal world hereafter. Whatever you do regarding achieving social, professional, economic and spiritual goals, you have to follow the painstaking activities of Honeybee and must be ready to learn from these species about its constant focus to a particular task.
